Ongoing Responsibility

We approach sustainability as an ongoing responsibility, not a single claim. Our production is intentionally limited: pieces are either available in extremely limited inventory or made to order, allowing us to avoid unnecessary overproduction while preserving the intimacy, individuality, and artistry of true fine jewelry.

Responsible Stones

Ilene Joy works with the most highly respected suppliers and sources diamonds globally in accordance with the Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, which are designed to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the supply chain.

Every stone is selected with Ilene Joy’s exacting standards for quality, beauty, and consistency. Natural diamonds are standard across the collections, with lab-grown diamonds available upon request.

For bespoke, engagement, and custom commissions, the atelier can source rare stones, exceptional diamonds, colored gemstones, antique cuts, and unique materials from around the world.

In-House Production

Every Ilene Joy piece is designed by Ilene and handcrafted in Los Angeles by our master jeweler and highly skilled artisans.

This intimate, in-house process allows Ilene and her team to oversee the benchwork at every stage — from design development and production to final finish. Each completed piece is personally inspected by Ilene before it leaves the atelier.
