Why some charm bracelets look childish
It is rarely the idea. It is usually the build.
- Too many charms. A bracelet crowded with small shapes reads as a collection, not a piece.
- A thin chain. A fine chain with a heavy charm hangs badly and looks like an afterthought.
- Mixed metals by accident. Yellow, white and rose together look random unless you chose them.
- Novelty shapes. Cartoons are fine for a child. Adults tend to prefer a symbol with a plain history.

Wrist sizes

How the Magic Middle works
The Magic Middle is the connector ring at the drop of the chain that charms thread through. It gives the bracelet a center, which is why a bracelet with two or three charms looks arranged rather than scattered. The glossary explains the parts in charm jewelry glossary.
