Custom does not have to cost more. At Ilene Joy, builder designs start at $1,485 as shown, which is a Petite oval chain with one Glittering Hamsa Charm in 14K yellow gold. Our Ready to Ship collection of finished in-stock pieces starts at $2,280. They are different pieces, so compare what you get, not the label.

The downsides, stated plainly
You cannot return it. Custom pieces are final sale. A custom order can be canceled within 24 hours of being placed. After that, it is made for you and cannot be resold as new. Our shipping and returns page lists the terms.

Solid gold has a metal value. A custom design is worth to a later buyer whatever that buyer will pay. We make no resale promise, and you should be careful of any seller who does.
